September Technology New Releases: Top -3 Mobile Gadgets
Traditionally, the IFA conference, which celebrated its 100-year anniversary this year, showcases many technological innovations. 2024 was no exception: this time, many interesting gadgets were presented. Here are the most interesting September releases.
iPhone 16
Of course, the most anticipated fall releases are Apple’s 16th-generation smartphones. They cannot be called revolutionary, but there are still a number of improvements. For example, the performance of the iPhone 16 and Plus version increased by a noticeable 30% while keeping the same dimensions as their predecessors. There are no noticeable changes in the cameras either, except for the addition of spatial video recording for viewing on Vision Pro.
One of the series’ main features was more extensive integration of artificial intelligence. AI functions now help work with texts, interpret context more accurately, both written and spoken, and can create emoji with Genmoji.
As for the flagships, Pro and 16 Pro Max, they also increased performance thanks to the new A18 Pro chip. Charging speed increased noticeably, by 50% (45 W wired and 25 W wireless versions).
As for the price, everything is more or less predictable: for example, iPhone 16 Pro at Citrus costs from 60 thousand UAH, the base version can be bought for 48 thousand, and for the Pro Max you will have to pay 70 thousand UAH.
MatePad Pro
Huawei’s flagship tablet is also an expected new product with good specifications. It has a 12.2-inch OLED screen that can run at 144 Hz, has brightness of up to 2000 nits, and uses PaperMatte technology to eliminate glare almost completely (by 99%).
The powerful Kirin T91 chip, together with 12 GB of RAM, provides high performance, and the 10100 mAh battery ensures long gadget runtime. A 100-watt charger means you do not have to worry about charging time.
The camera block includes a main 13 MP sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide one. The tablet supports Glide Keyboard and weighs about 510 g.
The MatePad 12 X version is a simplified variant of the tablet with the Pro prefix. It uses an IPS panel with brightness that is twice as low, but it also has PaperMatte, and the color reproduction is good too: the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinemas.
The cameras are the same, 13 + 8 MP, and there is an option to choose the desired amount of RAM (8 or 12 GB). The battery is powerful, 10100 mAh, but charging is only 66 W. The tablet uses the Kirin T90A chipset.
StarV Ring 2 smart ring by Meizu
Smart rings are not currently a direct replacement for smart wristbands, but their popularity is growing rapidly. The main advantage of Meizu’s new product is the ability to measure blood sugar levels with almost record accuracy for such gadgets, at 80%.
It also has most other standard health-monitoring functions: measuring oxygen levels, pulse, number of steps taken, body temperature, sleep quality, and more.
StarV Ring 2 also lets you control your smartphone, for example by scrolling a news feed or releasing the camera shutter.
An excellent option for those who want to keep track of their health, but do not like wristbands or smartwatches.
